I just completed a 4 day run of Lafayette, Houston, Dallas, and Little Rock .Overall it was a great run. I had June Yamagishi on guitar along with Robert Walter. June was great, did his home work and played his ass off.
After a rocky start in Lafayette (There was a dead cat on the loading ramp into Grant St. and the gig was under-promoted) we had a great run. We had a very fun outdoor gig at the Last Concert CafĂ© in Houston…great crowd, great vibe, fun place to play.
The Granada Theatre in Dallas was great as well. In all my years of touring I’m surprised I’ve never played there. Great room, great peeps. The Revolution Music Room in Little Rock was a great room as well. The Grenada and Revolution would both be good places for Galactic to play. I can’t wait to those rooms as well as the Last Concert Cafe with my trio as well. Maybe in March.
Well I’m back home in NOLA now, trying to get some practice time in around sessions and time with the fam. Working hard on my next book “Groove Alchemy” as well.
More soon, Stanton

Stanton I'm one of your biggest fans and thought the show at Grant St. in Lafayette kicked ass!! Thanks so much for coming to Lafayette! Not many good shows come our way. It was a cold night and it was during the week. Me and my friends that came loved it and couldn't understand why the place wasn't packed. I surely didn't mind the up close experience. I thought the doors opened at 7 but they opened at 8. I was listening to the sound check from outside lol. Anyway, I have no idea why they would have had a dead cat in the way, but there wasn't many workers there that night. Please do not use the small crowd and dead cat as evidence of why not to play in Lafayette again! I travel to new orleans to watch you play when i can and love it when you come to Lafayette. When Galactic came yall blew the roof off the place! I remember a good size crowd for that one and the energy was awesome! Please come back Stanton! Lafayette loves you!
Also, that guitar player absolutely blew me away! Where did he come from? I must know who he plays with and who he has played with previously so I can buy cd's and tell people about him! Robert Walter of course kicked butt as well. I'm very familiar with his stuff also. Man... yall 3 sounded like you've been playing together forever!
Thank you SOOOO much for coming to Dallas. Yes, the Granada is a great place and PLEASE do come back w/ more of your friends =) Been a fan of yours for many years. Glad to have ya in my own backyard instead of having to travel the usual hundreds of miles to get my fix! Have a Merry Christmas~
